PM BG=280, 2u Lantus
My dear little Wilson seems to have some objects to the insulin injection process. Not the injection itself--he doesn't seem to notice when the needle pierces the skin--but tonight I noticed he got stiff and growly when he smelled the insulin, and he swatted at the capped needle when I showed it to him to see if that was what he was growling at. Weird, huh? Luckily he is much more talk than action so I haven't had any problems, but it does look like some desensitization is in order here. More on that later!

My brother-in-law uses Lantus for himself, and he said it stings. Maybe it's got a smell to go along with the sting?
