Booster shot given

At +8 (eight hours after last shot), his BG=248. Because of his recent DKA, I'm concerned about him staying above 200 all the time. I gave him 1/4 unit of "R" insulin. This is NOT a practice that I advocate or recommend for everyone. Regular insulin is short-acting and strong and can do a lot of harm very quickly.
